Team of Fitness Program Participants Joins Fight for Air Climb
Farrell’s West Des Moines fitness program participants will challenge their lungs and legs in support of the American Lung Association for a third consecutive year. On March 4th, fitness instructors and students from Farrell’s EP True location will join the Fight for Air Climb – an ascent up 66 floors of three downtown Des Moines buildings.
The fitness team has already exceeded their fundraising goal with an entire month to go, so they’ve set a new goal at three times the original amount. Sixteen people are registered for the Farrell’s Fight for Air Climb team so far, including one of the instructor’s sons who will be 9 years old the day of the climb. Anyone can do this!
The Farrell’s fitness team is currently in 4th place in fundraising dollars, and they hope to take the lead by inviting fitness instructors and students from other locations to join the team.

the event. “It’s more than just a test of strength and endurance. At some point in the climb, your lungs are going to be screaming as you gasp for air. You’re forced to ignore it and keep going. It gives you a taste of what it’s like for those who have trouble breathing. I can’t imagine having to feel every day as I do for those 10 minutes. Everyone who can, should do the Fight for Air Climb – because they CAN!”
