Colorado Springs Fitness Boot Camp Challenge Leads Couple to Transformation
Here’s a fitness transformation story from Fernando Bonilla (and his wife, Carre Bonilla) from our Colorado Springs location:
My journey with Farrell’s began in October when my lovely wife decided to participate in her 10 week [fitness boot camp] program. She had great results and left me with no choice but to start eating better since she was the one preparing the food from her plan. At the end of her 10 weeks it was the holidays and her family gave her a year’s membership to celebrate her success. I gave her a great Christmas list, but she took it upon herself to enroll me in a 10 week boot camp that began in January. She just wouldn’t accept any of my excuses (I don’t have shoes that I can wear, the gloves won’t fit, you’ll have to make all my food, my schedule won’t work etc.) I dragged myself to the first fitness assessment. I’ve been hooked ever since, I even take turns to prepare the meals. I’ve now completed my first 10 weeks and joined a new FIT challenge.
One year ago I had a third of my left lung removed and never imagined that a year later I would be able to do the Incline with “air to spare.” Completing the Incline with all the Farrell’s team was the perfect way to celebrate a year of better health. Last Sunday was my first time climbing the Incline. It was something that I have had on my bucket list for some time, I was waiting for the right time (after getting in shape) and that time was last Sunday. Farrell’s eXtreme Bodyshaping was a big part of this accomplishment, not only because it has helped me physically, but mentally also. The mental part is probably 60% for me. My wife said she made the climb 10 steps at a time, just like she sets her fitness goals 10 weeks at a time with Farrell’s.
We have both set our sights on a great picture on the beach in Costa Rica for next December to celebrate our new bodies and minds and maybe show off with our friends down there.
With Farrell’s you get the whole package, we expected the physical fitness transformation but the mental benefits are even better. We sleep more soundly, have less stress, concentrate better, and look forward to challenges of all sorts. Missing a day takes a toll on our mental well being. Every year in the past I set my New Year’s Resolution to get in shape and improve my health. Gym memberships galore have failed me. This is the only year I have succeeded! Support, incentives, caring communities, competition, and invested trainers are what make Farrell’s stand apart. Dave, Mark and Jenny have put together a great team in Colorado Springs that provides me with the challenges, supports and motivation to exceed my fitness expectations.
