Here’s a letter from Ginger, a student at our fitness location in Denver, CO.
Dan and Jolene + Instructors,
As I reflect on the last 10 weeks, I am so very proud of myself and have gained insights and hopefully nuggets of inspiration that create the “juice” in my life again.
Thank you for all the support, positivity, and pushing you’ve provided. In the next session, I know I can do more and may need your encouragement, challenge, and accountability to push to the next level. The biggest aha for me as I’m so grateful is this: my dreams are possible! I long to step into the person I know is in here… and she’s starting to peek out behind the veil with a smile saying “come and get me.”
Here is what I’ve learned so far and if anything, please hear this. I THANK YOU FROM MY SOUL! Keep pushing me and hold me accountable in the next session!
Reflections:
- My weight battle has gone on too long….25 years off and on. But the cool thing is this: all I have to do is show up and do the work….consistently. It’s coming off so much faster than I expected and I’m stronger every week. Isn’t that cool?
- I’ve found the faith (which was tested early on) that FXB works! I now trust that it is possible – I had lost the belief that I could be normal-sized, let alone “lean” but now I believe it’s all possible. Having that belief brings vibrancy and excitement to the workouts! Well….most of them anyway!
- Find the FUN in it. I believe humans expand exponentially with the right motivation and what makes you do things repeatedly? The enjoyment of it and my joy comes from being proud of myself every day that I delivered, having more energy to give, and being proud of seeing the depths I have to go with myself sometimes which fuels the questions “hmmmm, what else am I capable of doing?”
- Game of FOCUS – doing things once is easy. Being consistently protective of my dreams & focused on the 3 things that will get me there DAILY helped me: 1) Do the workouts at Level 10 2) Eat according to plan including free day 3) Focus on the seed of having my dream, find and create inspiration from within – intrinsically, key in on the “why” when in doubt.
- Creating support – I am so blessed to have had Paula for my workout partner every day. She kicks butt…mine to be exact! Every person at Ferrell’s has been great to me and I hope to have encouraged them as well. The Farrell’s team is a community I looked forward to being a part of!
Finally, here are a couple pictures from “real life” my partner showed me last night from week 3 to week 8. Beyond the funny Twilight pic, look at me, I hope you’re able to see the difference you’ve made in my life. Wow – I’m doing this! My results are fueling my friends to consider this program as I’ve got to believe there is some inspiration for them to wonder what they can do. Talk is cheap and I had the opportunity to do the work and I’m so encouraged and proud. It’s been a really long time since I’ve had this feeling and belief in myself. I can’t wait for more of the dream to come true….to be continued.
