Sioux Falls Fitness Student Sees Remarkable Results

Here’s an update from our friend Lisa in Sioux Falls:
Well here I am again at 30 weeks and have another milestone to share.
In the last 30 weeks I have learned so much about life and myself. I have realized that I am worth every bit of effort it takes to be me and then some, I have learned I have a huge support group, and most importantly I have learned that my body can do FAR more than my mind thinks I can.
In the last 30 weeks I have went up and down in and out! My fitness funks come like the moon phases but I stick with it. I struggle sometimes with nutrition, but I have finally come to the point where I can look at a donut, smell it and even handle it and still want a Breakfast burrito with my whole grain tortilla instead or the dreaded cream cheese dips at the football parties, I can pass them up and be happy with my Greek yogurt because I am now in a size 14 and I know the only reason I am is.
As I was at the half way mark of the mile Saturday during 10-week testing I was telling another coach, “This is the most rewarding job I have ever had, and I don’t even work here” I love watching my team succeed, I enjoy the stories of overcoming and success. My previous team and I ran 83 miles in 6 weeks, we now as a group run in sanctioned 5K and 10K runs as a team.
As I watch my team and support them I sometimes forget to keep track of my success, well Friday night I experienced a milestone that I wanted to share.
As I was getting bundled up to head out for a home football game I fastened my belt and there was this ridiculously huge tail hanging off my hip. In my frustration I ripped my belt off and whacked the huge tail off, as I sat there and checked out the salvage I was amazed at how much I was able to cut off, I was amazed to see all the holes that I used to use.
I am proud to say in 30 short weeks I am approximately 70 pounds down and cut about 11 inches off my belt this weekend! I am headed full steam ahead to my goal.
Thank you Farrell’s for the tools and support!
