I Am Excited About Life Again

Val S. – Cedar Falls, Iowa

I would like to share a few thoughts with you concerning my Farrell’s experience.  I am sure you knew from the beginning that I was not here to win the $1000 prize, but was hoping to make some positive changes in my life.  Thanks to you and your staff I have been able to do just that.

If I can take a moment to share a brief bit of history with you:  I lost my husband of 25 years last year to Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. It was a tough 15-month battle that resulted in me losing my husband, my job and much of my desire for life. I spent a great deal of time eating, drinking and smoking in excess.

Since joining the Farrell’s program, my life has seen significant improvement. I feel better, I am told that I look better, and I am excited about life again!

While I am anxious to see the weight and measurements on Saturday, the internal rewards have been amazing. Before Farrell’s, I was taking medication for high blood pressure and also taking three shots per day of insulin (100 units total).

Since Week 2 of Farrell’s I have been off of the blood pressure medicine and the insulin completely!! Before I began at Farrell’s my blood pressure was high and my A1C was 9.7%. At my last doctor appointment on September 1st, my tests (without taking meds since week 2) were blood pressure of 90 over 60 and A1C of 7.0%.  That is HUGE!!!

I cannot tell you how grateful I am to you and your staff for helping me achieve this.

I want to thank you and your staff for giving me the tools that I need to continue this new lifestyle in the future.

I am confident that with all that I have learned at Farrell’s, I will be able to continue to improve my lifestyle.

I also would like to mention that the people I have met during this program have been great. Kim, Emily and Chris are all terrific!  I have also made a few friends with other participants and am pleased about that! I have enjoyed my Farrell’s experience a great deal and have been recommending it to many friends and family.

Thanks for everything!
