Denver Woman Loses Weight 10 Weeks at a Time

In the summer of 2013, I found myself wearing size 16 pants and extra-large shirts, tired all the time, addicted to fast food and coca cola, and disgusted with the way I looked.  My 30th birthday was only two months away.  I wanted to make a change, but could not find the motivation to do so.  I recently had joined a gym and hired a personal trainer.  I loved my trainer, but when I wasn’t meeting up with her I had a hard time getting the motivation to go back to the gym and ended up skipping more days then I went.  Not a good combination when you are trying to lose weight and get in shape.

That’s when I found Farrell’s eXtreme Bodyshaping in Denver, CO.  I didn’t know anything about their 10-Week Fitness Challenge and was very hesitant about joining.  So I did a little research and read the many online reviews that previous clients wrote.  One of things I really liked about what I read in the reviews of Farrell’s was how everyone was encouraging in the classes, and how everyone who signed up had something they were unhappy with regarding their bodies.  I was 5’2”, weighed 193 lbs. and my body fat percentage was 43.1% on my weigh in.  I had plenty to be unhappy with.

I joined the Summer 2013 Challenge and hoped for the best.  After ten weeks of working at my level 10 and kicking the fast food habit, I had lost 15 lbs., dropped my body fat to 38.4% (down 4.7%) and was in a size 14.  More importantly, I had loads more energy and had made some great and encouraging friends.  I was hooked on Farrell’s.  In the next few months, I continued to slowly lose weight and get myself in better shape.  My friends all remarked on how much better I looked and how much more energy I had.

KIm Watson ResultsAs 2014 started, I weighed 167 lbs. (down 26 lbs.) and was wearing a size 12 pants.  I decided to join a F.I.T. Challenge that was starting in early January.  I looked at it as a new 10 week challenge and used it for motivation.  My goal was to simply not miss any days and try to lose 10lbs and drop my body fat percentage even more.  I performed all the FIT challenges every day before our workout; added ab exercises with fellow FIT member Karen, so we could hold each other accountable; and cleaned up my eating.  By the end of the challenge, I had not missed any days, dropped 16 lbs, and dropped my body fat percentage to 26. 9% (down a total of 16.2%).  And won the $500 1st place prize for the challenge.

To date, I have dropped 43 lbs. and am now wearing size 6 pants.  I haven’t worn that size since I was in Jr. High.  I am in my thirties and in the best shape of my life, and I can’t wait to see where I end up.  My next goal is to be the skinny bridesmaid in a wedding this summer.  Shallow?  Probably.  But I know with Farrell’s I can get there
