Farrell’s Fitness Provides Structure and Normalcy
My name is Kendra. With supportive encouragement from friends, I made a decision, which I found would ultimately change my life. As a former Division I Track and Heptathlete record holder, I believed I knew what it took to commit and work hard to achieve my goals. When I make a decision to commit, I’m all in. I was mentally ready to make a difference in my life, however sometimes even the best intentions can fade away. I had let 13 years pass since I had last committed myself to my own health and fitness. I continually made excuses as to why I could not workout. I had ballooned to over 200 lbs. and I was feeling physically and mentally exhausted all the time. I had finally reached a point where I was unable to tolerate how I felt anymore. I made a mental obligation to recommit to my health and fitness and joined the Farrell’s eXtreme Bodyshaping Cardio Kickboxing and Resistance Bands Training 10-Week Challenge.
The beginning of my 10-week session did not start out very gracefully. Although I was a former brown belt in Tae Kwon Do and pretty confident in myself, I found that I was unable to keep up during class and my breathing was hard and heavy. In the middle of my first class I decided to take a break. I sat down in the back of the room and wondered if I could complete the program. Once I had regained my composure I rejoined the rest of the class. The rest of the day after that first class I felt overwhelmed and physically run down. However, I made the deliberate choice to return the next day. It was the best decision I had ever made. I am proud to say despite the challenging beginning I completed the 10-week program with surprising results.
I found that walking into the doors at Farrell’s was much different from any other gym that I had been a member of. Rather than the “revolving door” experience of the same old routines, I feel that the Farrell’s program keeps me constantly challenged. The program immediately introduced new and diverse cardio and resistance bands exercises that continuously kept me motivated. That motivation continues presently during every class that I attend.
I received so many compliments and positive feedback during my transformation that I was inspired even more! My success and accomplishments during the initial 10-week program made me so proud of my results that I eagerly committed to a full year membership as a FIT member. I was excited with the anticipation for even greater results. Over one year later I had lost a total of 60 lbs. Not only have I gained more muscle mass, I eat healthier, and no longer smoke. I look and feel great!
Farrell’s eXtreme Bodyshaping cardio kickboxing and resistance bands training has just the right combination of structure and support to keep me going. Open gym memberships were just too easy for me to make excuses not to attend. I constantly made up reasons not to workout. Farrell’s has set, scheduled times and built-in accountability. I find that I don’t want to miss a class. I enjoy working out with my peers and seeing the instructors. Everyone at Farrell’s has become a regular part of my life. In a world of change and uncertainty, Farrell’s provides structure and normalcy. Farrell’s eXtreme Bodyshaping has become a regular part of my day and now a regular part of my life. For others looking to join Farrell’s I ask you to look back at a time when you felt your absolute best in life. A time when you slept better, had more energy, were your most productive in school or work, felt like you were a better spouse, friend or parent. While I can’t promise those things will change for everyone, I am a true testament that what you put in you get back 100 times more!
