How Farrell’s Transformed My Life!
How has Farrell’s changed my life? As I sit here and ponder this question so many things come to my mind. First, what does change really mean? As I think about it, change means “to be different from.” This definition does not do the Farrell’s program or what I accomplished justice. As I look at the word “transform” I see it is defined as “to make a thorough or dramatic change in the form, appearance, or character of.” This seems more fitting as I feel my transformation has been “dramatic.”
Growing up I was always the “fat, funny kid,” I had plenty of friends but was often the butt of most jokes. I had learned to grin and even laugh at my own expense just to try to be happy. Fast forward several years into adulthood and not much had changed. I was pretending to be happy, pretending that I was someone who I was not.
I remember trying almost every diet, and ordering every exercise DVD on those late night infomercials. None of the diets ever worked, and the exercise plans, you know the ones where you work out in your basement, ya, those don’t work. I had come to the conclusion that unless you have 8 hours a day, good genes, and are less than 25 years old, you could never really have success with a workout plan.
I remember hearing about Farrell’s on the radio and how the commercial said “results are typical.” I must admit that I was very skeptical but I made an appointment and went with my wife to check it out. I remember walking in and talking to T.J. in the Oakdale location. For the first time ever I was in a gym that wanted to “work with me” not tell me what I was expected to do. It was made clear that if I needed to modify I could, that everyone’s level 10 was different. Nutrition was key and we were told that FXB is not a weight loss program, but a “transformation” program.
I cannot put into words what I think about my Farrell’s experience and results! I thought long and hard about a word or phrase that captures my journey over the last year. Again there are no words! For the first time in my life I am ME, and I am HAPPY. My confidence is through the roof. My mood and outlook on life has been improved 100-fold. When I look at my pictures I see my smile, this is who I am. I have lost inches, fat and depression, but what I gained is worth so much more. There are no stats for feeling great about yourself, or having confidence. I have gained friends and a support group that I never was looking for, but so glad that I found. Simply put, FXB works. The support group is what drives Farrell’s, that is why it’s successful. It’s not just you trying to make yourself better, but 40 other people in your class time all pushing each other.
I would say to anyone who is skeptical this: I am a normal guy with a normal life and I did it. Results are typical. You owe this to yourself because one year from now you will wish you started today! If you think you cannot do it I say….”yes, you can!”
