My Confidence Has Skyrocketed Since Starting Farrell’s!
We recently caught up with one of our FIT members from FXB Ames and wanted to share her Farrell’s story with you!
I decided to join Farrell’s 10-week challenge the summer before my sophomore year of college. I had spent the previous year trying to lose weight on my own by working out and making healthier choices. I struggled a lot and only lost 15 pounds just to gain them all back over the summer. I hadn’t made a true lifestyle change. I was only working out and eating right (or what I thought was right) when it was convenient. I was so frustrated of feeling lethargic and sorry for myself. I wanted to keep up with my friends, fit into smaller clothes, and feel good about myself. I learned about Farrell’s one morning about a month before school started. I was looking left and right for an opportunity to make a change and God had finally answered my prayers. Their guarantee to lose weight had me hooked and I decided this was my opportunity to change my life.
It wasn’t until halfway through my 10 weeks I started noticing changes. My clothes were fitting better, I had more energy, and I was definitely stronger! At the end of my 10 weeks I had lost 15 pounds, 24 inches, and 6% of my body fat. My mile run, sit-ups, and push-ups improved drastically. I started feeling good about myself and my ability. It was exhilarating. The biggest change, however, has been with my diet and my attitude toward food. Farrell’s helped me see that there’s a right way to fuel my body. By following their nutrition program I was able to get my bad habits under control. Now that I understand how my body, exercise, and food work together so it’s easier for me to make healthier choices.
I’ve been at Farrell’s for over a year now and since my first 10 weeks I’ve lost 20 more pounds. That’s 45 pounds! Every time I leave the gym, I leave with a feeling of satisfaction. I know how lucky I am to have found such a supportive and fun program. My confidence skyrocketed and with that I was able to put myself into situations and take opportunities I would have never considered before. My outlook on life has become so much more positive and I know that has had a major effect on me and the people who are close to me.
Farrell’s pushed me outside of my comfort zone and for that I am forever grateful. My 7:15 family holds me accountable, encourages me, and truly inspires me. Without the encouragement of FXB members this program would not be what it is. When my 10 weeks was up I considered not continuing with the program for financial reasons. Angie and Katie really encouraged me to keep going with Farrell’s and I am so glad I did. THANK YOU KATIE AND ANGIE!
I recommend Farrell’s for anyone who is stuck in a dieting rut or just looking to improve their eating and exercising habits. Farrell’s provides a safe and exciting atmosphere that anyone at any fitness level can join and see amazing results.
