I’m In The Best Shape Thanks to Farrell’s!
Briefly describe your Farrell’s eXtreme Bodyshaping (FXB) journey
My FXB journey began back in the Fall 2013 session at the Bloomington, IL location. I had always been very athletic when I was younger but as my focus shifted to building my career, my lack of physical activity and love of food quickly caught up with me. I struggled with my weight for many, many years until a few months before my 43rd birthday. I decided it was time to do something about it. Many times I’d try to “go-it-alone” but always lost interest and ended up quitting. I‘d heard the FXB ads many times on the radio and decided I would give it a try, and boy am I glad I did. I was scared to death that first day and after 10 minutes into the warm-up I questioned whether I could do it, but I managed to preserver and with each new day I began to look forward to my gym time and soon I was hooked. I religiously attended every class and pushed myself to my Level 10 every time I set foot on the mats. My hard work and dedication paid off and after my 10 weeks I’d lost a combined 27 inches off my body, dropped my body fat from 37% down to 27%, and best of all, health and fitness had now become an integral part of my life. Thanks to Farrell’s eXtreme Bodyshaping I am now in the best shape I have ever been. I live my life from a much healthier perspective now and I’m 100% dedicated to helping others to reach their health and fitness.

How has FXB impacted your life?
My life has dramatically changed since I began the program. Those who have seen my before photos know the most obvious impact FXB has had on me are my physical changes. After one year I weighed 125 lbs., and down to 22% body fat; figures I have never had before, not even when I was younger. But these changes were not the most significant impacts FXB had on me. When I first began the program I was extremely shy, very self-conscious and much preferred to hide in the shadows then to have anyone notice me. Today, I am a totally different person. FXB has given me the confidence to do things I previously would have never done before. Thanks to FXB I am now a coach and instructor; two things that would have terrified me, but today I love it. I am forever grateful to all the many people who have helped me along my journey at FXB and who continue to support me today.
What is your favorite part of FXB?
For me, the best part of this program is the people I get to meet and hang out with every day. On my first day, I walked in the door scared and alone, not knowing anyone or what to expect. I walked out the door with a support system that is second to none. When you sign-up for FXB you don’t just get a nutrition and fitness program that works. You get a group of people who have been where you are and who genuinely want you to reach your health and fitness goals. Without that support I probably would not be where I am today. FXB is now a huge part of my life. I consider every person who walks through those doors to be part of my extended family and want to do whatever I can to help them reach their end goal at FXB.
What’s the best piece of advice you can give for maintaining a healthy lifestyle?
I’m a big believer in setting goals. No one in life has achieved anything by just sitting on their butts. You have to have an end goal that clearly states what it is you want to achieve, then you must have a solid reason why you want to achieve it. The most important part is you need to remind yourself of the previous two things and take action every single day to achieve it. One thing to remember is: we are all human. Some days you may just not be feeling it or you may have a moment of weakness and eat something you shouldn’t have. But remember what just happened is in the past already, and instead consider right now to be a new beginning. Now is a time to start over and forget about the past instead of dwelling on it, remind yourself of your goal and why you want it and don’t let those past failures hold you back from achieving what it is you want.
