My Internal Health is Improving Thanks to Farrell’s!

Dave at Farrell's GrimesI have lived in the Des Moines area for 20 years and I’m 44 years old. I am fortunate to work at a company that has a great fitness center, which I used for the past five years. I did some cardio and weightlifting and my workouts would normally last about 75 minutes. Over the past year, with my two kids active in high school activities, my workouts suffered and I cut back to twice a week, if at all. I was plateauing . . . actually regressing.

I started at Farrell’s eXtreme Bodyshaping in Grimes, known as Farrell’s 141, on October 10, 2015 and I loved it right away. I loved the challenge. I didn’t see the pounds drop off right away, and Nicole and my coaches assured me that change would come. By the end of my 10 weeks, I had dropped 10 pounds and ran the mile in 6:52 – shaving over a minute off my original time. I was very happy with the results and signed up for 2016. I didn’t know my best results until Monday (Feb 29, 2016).

I went to the doctor for a routine physical and found out that my cholesterol had dropped 38 points to 186! I do annual health screenings at my company and my cholesterol has not been under 220 in several years. My HDL (good) was higher and my LDL (bad) was lower! My doctor told me my risk for heart problems went from 2.9% to 1.8% (the minimum is 1.0%).

I feel better about myself since joining Farrell’s 141 in Grimes. My clothes fit better, I actually FEEL in shape, and now I have results that show my internal health is improving as well. Thanks to Nicole, my coaches and all the instructors at 141 – it works!
