I Wouldn’t Be Who or Where I am Today Without Farrell’s!

Jennifer M. Before and Today

This is my journey, my “Level 10” story, and possibly can be yours!

I have always struggled with my weight. I’ve been every size imaginable and I have tried every diet, every pill, and just about everything short of having surgery. What I had not tried prior to joining Farrell’s eXtreme Bodyshaping was exercising, and eating clean and healthy. I knew I needed a change, but I had to want the change not only for me, but also for my family.

I’m a wife and the mother of three handsome boys. My husband’s name is Nick and my boys are Kolby, age 8, Colin, age 5, and Hudson who is 8 months old. My boys are my world and they complete me. They lead a very active lifestyle that I haven’t been able to keep up with. I know this was mainly due to my weight and my own insecurities about my appearance. I hate being in a swimsuit or anything other than oversized sweats and sweatshirts. I couldn’t take the stairs or walk long distances at the water parks, amusements parks, and sporting arenas. I basically couldn’t go anywhere without becoming winded fairly quickly. I always had excuses of why I could not go certain places. I knew my boys weren’t embarrassed, but it was also only going to be a matter of time before they would start questioning my excuses. It had been time for a change for several years but I seemed to have every reason in the world not to make changes or I would try dieting and eventually give up. I wanted unrealistic miracle results in a very short time. Little did I know, that eventually my history of giving up would really open my eyes!

Almost five years ago I was put on high blood pressure medication. My family doctor had strongly recommended making lifestyle changes in regards to my diet, weight and activity. I had the mentality that if I just ignored it, then it didn’t exist. Then I got pregnant with my 3rd son and my blood pressure was to the point where I was at risk of preeclampsia. I was faced with the possibility of bed rest and early induction. I also developed Gestational Diabetes with this pregnancy. It just so happens that I ended up with all of the above complications. This was clearly a result of my being overweight and the stress the pregnancy was putting on my body. After delivering my son I had several follow-up visits with my OB GYN and my family doctor. My asthma was out of control and once my lab results came back, my family doctor told me point-blank I was at risk for heart attack and stroke if I did not make immediate, necessary changes. It finally sunk in that my boys could grow up without me.

One evening while on Facebook I saw a friend share information about the Farrell’s eXtreme Bodyshaping 10-week program. I thought maybe this was a sign? I knew why I wanted to start. I wanted to gain and maintain a healthy, attainable lifestyle; to regain my health and to have quality and quantity time with my boys. My life forever changed from the first orientation day on 10/03/15 up to 5-week testing and all the way to final testing day. It wasn’t easy, mentally or physically, and I admit I wanted to give up.

My first week was my true test of determination. My son, Hudson, was admitted to the hospital on a Friday with dehydration at 4 pm. I was at Farrell’s that night for the 6:30 pm kickboxing class, went back to the hospital, showered, tried to sleep and my husband relieved me at 4 am the next day. I then headed to the Saturday morning class at 5:30 am. I had lots of times where I could have made excuses and just not attended classes. However, this was my chance, my turn to take control of my health! All I kept hearing was NO EXCUSES! Let’s do this!

I started the program weighing 234 lbs. I initially was able to do 13 push-ups, 16 sit-ups and it took me over 17 minutes to run a mile! I told myself it was time to give everything I had, and more. I have learned that for Farrell’s, giving your all is our Level 10. I didn’t make any excuses. I had perfect attendance for 10 weeks and at my final testing I was down 26 pounds, lost over 25 inches and was able to do 35 push-ups, 23 sit-ups and I finished the mile in 12:18 seconds! I went from wearing a 2x/3x to L/XL and size 18 to a size 12. I can honestly say I now have more energy, look forward to doing things with my family, and don’t dread shopping for new clothing.

Farrell’s has given me confidence I didn’t know that I had. The program has also given me the tools I need to keep reaching my goals and not only do I have the support of my friends and family, but also of my new Farrell’s family! I’ve gained friendships and memories that will last a lifetime. My boys now have the Mom that they need and deserve for years to come. I can honestly say if it wasn’t for Farrell’s eXtreme Bodyshaping I wouldn’t be who and where I am today. This program is life changing and worth all the blood, sweat and tears!!! Here’s to a New Year filled with love, happiness, family, friends, blessings and hopefully even more body transformations. So ask yourself, “What’s REALLY stopping you?” Remember NO EXCUSES and always give YOUR LEVEL 10!
