New Faces Behind the Desk at Farrell’s Cedar Valley

One of the things that makes Farrell’s eXtreme Bodyshaping unique is our culture. Our gyms thrive because of our community of members. When members walk in the door, they are surrounded by their Farrell’s family every day in class.

cedar-valley-opening-picOn September 7, 2016 three members from the Farrell’s Cedar Valley location in Waterloo, Iowa stepped onto the mats as owners for the first time. Join us in congratulating Angie Fuller, Daniel Hanawalt, and Ryan Sheridan for taking the next step in their Farrell’s journey by becoming owners of their very own Farrell’s.

Angie has been a member for the past five years. She has been instructing for the past three years and is currently a level 2 instructor. She originally joined Farrell’s after seeing her husband, and fellow FXB instructor, Joe’s results. She decided going in she was going to get 100% attendance during her 10 weeks, but thought she’d go back to her routine of dance and water aerobics as soon as the session ended. She never went back to the pool and has been at Farrell’s ever since! Angie’s ‘fitness wins’ include lowering her cholesterol 89 points and going from not being able to run one mile completing a 13-mile Tough Mudder race with fellow Farrell’s members.

Daniel began his Farrell’s journey in 2013 after his wife Julie convinced him to join prior to their wedding. As someone who had always lifted weights and been active, he didn’t think Farrell’s had anything to offer. He was immediately impressed with the program and environment. Unlike most gyms, he found the environment friendly, supportive and engaging. The way the Farrell’s program makes him feel is why he is still at it three years later. In 2015, he started instructing. He is excited to become an owner because he has a passion for helping others meet their fitness goals.

Ryan joined Farrell’s in June 2010. He has been instructing since 2011 and is currently a Level 2 kickboxing and strength training instructor. He joined Farrell’s to stop the years of occasional gym attendance, “running”, etc., He tried fitness the way he thought it should be done and he wasn’t making any progress… in fact, he was going the wrong direction. As soon as he joined Farrell’s, he knew it was something special. It was hard… very hard! However, it was motivating! The biggest difference he noticed was he went from dreading going to the gym, to doing whatever he could to not miss a Farrell’s class. The supportive environment, accountability, focus on simple and effective nutrition, and the fun classes, finally helped him make the lifestyle change he had been searching for. He lost over 30 pounds and has found a passion for instructing. He loves to inspire and motivate his classes to push beyond their limits. He strongly believes in positive reinforcement and has a connection with all of the members and their struggles as he has gone, and continues to go, through the journey with them. Everyone has a different Level 10… the key is helping them find it.

His wife, Diane, soon joined and continues to do the program. Together, they both feel that Farrell’s has changed their life. It has changed what they thought was possible. It has changed how they look at working out. Farrell’s isn’t a phase… it is a lifestyle.

Angie, Dan and Ryan are excited and committed to helping others reach their health and fitness goals. Farrell’s Cedar Valley is now enrolling for the fall session, which begins on October 1.
